Adidas are set to launch the first UK Stadium store at the Westfield London expansion which is due to open on Tuesday 20th March 2018.
Following the so-called "day of love" the Adidas Tango League made its return to London last night, making its debut just a stones throw away from the National Stadium at Powerleague, Wembley.
A Tango League without 3 time finalists and 1 time winner Baiteze Squad and 3 time finalists and 2 times winners Kings opened the door for fresh match ups and a different but exciting road to the final making the grand prize of a trip to Dubai with Manchester United everybody's for the taking.
As part of the #ThreeWords reveal week leading up to 9am New Years Day, Acidic Fitness have decided to make yet another announcement regarding their YouTube presence in 2018.
Acidic Fitness are proud to announce a relaunched version of original YouTube series “Gym Tours” as part of a new strategy to provide consistent content in a bid to improve the brands notoriety on YouTube in the new year.
After a two year hiatus, Adidas relaunched the iconic Predator boot featuring the two faces of the line. Tottenham Hotspu's Dele Alli and Manchester United's Paul Pogba joined the festivities which were held on the top floor of the flagship Adidas Store in Oxford Street, Central London.
Acidic Fitness are pleased to announce their latest addition to the Acidic Fitness Athletes roster; #1 ranked British (53kg) weightlifter Fraer Morrow from Doncaster but based full-time at Loughborough.
Morrow has achieved so much in such a small amount of time in the sport, having picked up the sport in 2015 and made her international debut the following year she has broken lifting records across different age groups and is currently on course to becoming the highest ranked weightlifter in the country for a second successive calendar year. She has had impressive showings on the international stage finishing in the top 10 at the last two European juniors and an impressive 9th at the world juniors that took place in Tokyo earlier this year.
Fellow Acidic Fitness Athlete Theodore Zake, who although is currently based at Brunel University London shares the same hometown as Morrow's base-camp chimed in when he was made aware of the news as soon as it happened, "I have seen her about, even though I don't know too much about her I do know that she's cold".
Founder and Owner Miles Sita spotted Fraer Morrow with British Weightlifting at Bodypower and after months later decided to make the move to approach her with a spot on the team. "I'm happy that I discovered Fraer when I did back in May", said Sita, "because this has allowed me to keep an eye on her throughout these months offering her personal support along the way too".
A conference call was conducted earlier in the month where Miles Sita had the following comments to make:
"Athletes that are at Fraer's level in terms of goals and achievement is what I am looking for to join the Acidic Fitness Athletes team, as time goes on I want this scheme to be widely recognised as a group of young high achievers that will go on to bigger and better things".
Sita was then asked about the current state of the Acidic Fitness Athletes and he went on to say:
"I am always working hard to provide the best for my athletes that are with me now and bring in the best British young athletes in sport. I am now fortunate to have two athletes aiming towards the next big competition in sports which is the commonwealth games, there are one or two more additions that I would like to make to the roster, Fraer is a step in the right direction".
Just under 24 hours ago, Morrow was named in the British weightlifting team that will be travelling to the IWF World Weightlifting Championships in Anaheim, CA which will be her first appearance international appearance on a senior. As usual Acidic Fitness will be providing her with our support as usual hoping she performs well.
It took 25 games in total across three instalments of the Adidas Tango League for the Baiteze Squad to finally claim the Tango trophy.
For those unaware, or if you're in need of a reminder, the Baiteze Squad are a group of young footballers from East London known within the football community for being one of the most skilled set of players London has to offer. They established a YouTube channel right after their first Tango appearance with over 130,000 video views. A numbers of players within the squad also play for a number of semi-professional teams highlighting the quality they have.
Over a year ago an announcement was made that the internal structure of Acidic Fitness was going to change with the inception of Acidic Fitness Athletes; a handpicked selection of elite young athletes to be the faces of the Acidic Fitness brand as well as contributing to the creation of content. In the past year there has been widespread confusion as viewers were not able to make clear distinctions as to what exactly makes an Acidic Fitness Athlete and why certain athletes that were featured guests on a number of occasions not made guests. After reviewing the case the company has this announcement to make.
Acidic Fitness has always been built on the basis of "collaborative effort", which is why athletes such as Chloe Kelly and Shaq Channer have made appearances on Acidic Fitness content. This basis will never change even with the Acidic Fitness Athletes present. Acidic Fitness Athletes are treated with extra care by Acidic Fitness; they are given free Adidas x Acidic Fitness merchandise as well as personal visits to important fixtures and extra support. They are also the only athletes on official Acidic Fitness print as they are the only athletes with rare merchandise.
Athletes drafted in for a collaboration is mainly because they belong to a sport that not represented by an Acidic Fitness Athlete, such as Chloe Kelly with football or the Nielsen twins with the 400m in athletics (Theodore Zake is a 100/200m sprinter). We believe that now is the time to distinguish these athletes clearly from the Acidic Fitness Athletes which is why we are announcing the "Young Athlete Collaboration" programme.
Nothing changes really, its just now it has a name. Acidic Fitness have been running scouting operations for over a year to find elite athletes to take part in the Athletic Series. AF Athletes such as May Campbell and Sophie Wheeldon-Jones were part of the collaboration shortlist before receiving offers, but it is not to say everyone that makes this shortlist will eventually become AF Athletes. "I made the ultimate decision to give this process of shortlisting athletes a name so viewers immediately understand their position", explains Acidic Fitness owner Miles Sita.
Acidic Fitness are pleased to announce the addition of Sophie Gayle to the Acidic Fitness athletes roster. Gayle is a university cheerleader for the Brunel Blizzards with a background in gymnastics at junior level.
Director Miles Sita has demonstrated his excitement for his latest addition to the roster and is hopeful for what the future holds with having Gayle on board.
The UFC came into London this past weekend and former Bantamweight champion Miesha Tate was part of the travelling party. This was her first time making a visit to London and when it comes as a result of being one of the driving forces towards the rise in popularity in women's MMA then all the better.
After a few days of soaking in the London atmosphere it was time for Tate to make an appearance at the o2 arena in Greenwich to answer questions right before the official weigh-in for the following evening. One major question was asked by our very own Mr. Miles Sita, the founder and chief of Acidic Fitness.
